Gladys Has Thoughtless Random Thoughts

It is Friday again and time for Mrs. 4444 to present her Friday Fragments. Go on go over read her fragments, link yours and have a big old fragmented party. Then go on over to Ann Again and Again for your weekly Virtual Girls Night Out. Have a drink, even if it’s just water, read some stories and partake in her game. Also link your Friday to her Friday.

Last week I boarded the vessel of germs and headed out for the conference where I became Babs Murphy. We landed at our first stop and I grabbed my carry on from the overhead compartment then tried to proceed up the aisle. I say I tried because instead of making my way up the aisle and onto the jetway I got stuck behind a man with his rolling bag and his computer bag. One problem, he had his computer bag long-ways. This would not have been a problem but it was about 2” too wide so it stuck on each seat as he pulled it up the aisle. I could have been irritated but instead I got the giggles. The only thing I could think of was the scene from the movie Airplane where the flight attendant smacks everyone with her guitar. Yes I still find that movie uproarisly funny.

I also had this thought while sitting in the airport waiting form my next flight. What do unemployed people do for a vacation? Get a job?

I noticed two women who appeared to be complete strangers talk for at least 30 minutes about shoes. I started thinking about it and I can not recall ever seeing two men do that. Guns maybe, farts definitely but shoes? Never.

Why do I always get stuck behind this guy in really interesting slide shows, church and movies?

Have you ever arrived in a new city, retrieved your germ ridden rental vehicle and headed out to find your hotel. You of course have gotten directions which you follow explicitly but you get on “the loop” and you realize you have circled said city three times before you realize that the exit you are looking for is called something completely different going east than what it is called going West.

Finally but not lastly it is also Happy Hour Friday over at the RX Bambi. She hosts Happy Hour Friday so go on over and tell us what makes you happy.

Here are some things that make me happy.

It's almost time for the beach again

Watching people in the airport

Dining Al Fresco in NOLA

Now go on and be good to one another and remember thoughts become things, think good ones.

My hubby can talk to any stranger about any subject for at least 30 minutes. That is one of the reasons the introverted girl was attracted to him : )
