As you know this week my mission has been to make you aware of National Bully Prevention Week. It is something that is very close to my heart. I was watching KTLA Morning show, my favorite morning show because I was interviewed on it, and they had a story about a teacher who was charged with stealing her student’s lunch money. Read it here: Teacher Charged with Stealing Lunch Money. How sick are we when even the teachers are bullying kids out of their lunch money?

You heard they crashed some space trash into the moon to see if it would stir up some ice early this morning right?
What they didn’t tell you was that it was a couple of SUV’s from the Cash for Clunkers program. You see Mr. Obama and his advisors were sitting eating M & Ms trying to not give Axelrod any of the green ones when one of the lesser aides said “Dude wouldn’t it be cool to take a couple of Suburbans into space and hurl them at the moon?” Since the Whitehouse staff was in the middle of an episode of the manic munchies they all thought it was a smoking idea! Why else would they have spent seventy-nine bazillion dollars to hurl things at the moon?

Oh and congratulations are in store for President Obama. I just heard he won the “You’re Not George Bush” award. Wow how difficult was that to get?

Can a dog have obsessive compulsive disorder? Our dog Nikki who is a big black lab chased a ground squirrel up and under the hood of Kahuna’s pick-up truck. She stayed there for 5 days barking and bickering with said squirrel. We tried everything to get her out. We tempted her with food, cookies even peanut butter but she refused. She also managed to chew through the main wiring harness, the anti-brake system, the hydraulic clutch line and destroy several other parts of which I can’t even describe. I think she needs some Tramadol or a Valium. Does anyone have an “in” with Ceasar Milan?
Nanny Nanny Boo Boo You Can't Catch Me
She never did catch the squirrel.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now for this weeks overheard. Since it’s been a little chilly, you know in the frigid 70’s I haven’t been to the beach. You know how I love surfer talk? Well I found a couple in the local grocery.
Let me set the scene. Two young guys in board shorts, flip flops and sweat shirts. See I told you it was chilly. They are standing in the beverage department.
Dude # 1: Dude how do you make hot chocolate?
Dude # 2: Dude I don’t know. I think you just put hot water in chocolate milk.
Dude # 1: Sounds bitchin dude. Where is the hot water department?

Overheard in the HomeGoods Store:
Clerk to customer: Ma’am we don’t carry that silk plant here. I don’t think you bought it here.
Customer: I bought it here four days ago.
Clerk: Well it’s mildewed.
Customer: I bought it here four days ago.
Clerk sticking her hand in the bottom of the pot: Did you water it? The base is soaking wet.
Customer: Well I didn’t want it to die before I brought it back.

I am off to have lunch with an old friend, and then I plan on spending my weekend lolling about reading the Glass Castle and enjoying the cooler weather. What are your plans?
This is what it looked like where I was a year ago
This is what it looks like where I am this year.
I wonder what next year holds?
Go on and be good to one another.Remember that thoughts become things…think good ones.

Wow...I love the change in scenery!! I'm glad they chunked Suburbans up there...the Earth could use a few less Chevy vehicles!! ;-)

OMG the hot chocolate convo.....
My dog definitely has OCD. If we don't go to bed or get up at the same time every night she gets so anxious and starts pacing and barking at us.
Lol at eating M&M's to make huge wordly decisions.....
Thanks for stopping by and entering my giveaway and for being a new follower! I'm doing the same...
Love the random thoughts... That brain of yours is all over the place! Haha, love it!
Ahhh, the beach, it's too cold to be going there right now for us here in Oregon, at least without a huge warm coat & some firewood.
Funny stories! :)
Just stopping by a little late to wish you a Happy VGNO!
That is so low about the teacher stealing lunch money, shouldn't she just be bangin' some kid? That seems to be the norm, these days!
I love the winter picture. I miss skiing!
Yes...I love the pics of Bush/Obama too!
I am glad you are in sunny California this year!
That kind of behavior from a Nobel Prize winner? That's appalling!
Loved the bully-free zone reference. I didn't even know it was National Bully Prevention week. On that subject, I think bully prevention needs to actually focus on prevention, and not on the victims of bullies all the time; it's like a band-aid. Let's get to the reasons kids are bullying in the first place.
Actually, yes. Dogs can have OCD. I'm pretty sure Cesar Milan has a cure for that; it's probably exercise. Good luck!
